Privacy Policy

SeedingStack ("the app", "we", "us") is a free tool that generates sample data inside a Shopify store you control. This policy explains what we store and why.

What we store

• Store connection. When you install the app we store your store's myshopify.com domain, an access token, and the basic shop details Shopify returns, so the app can act on your store.
• Account details. If you register directly, we store your name and email address to sign you in.
• Seed run records. For every run we keep its configuration and a ledger of the IDs of the objects we created in your store, so the app can show progress and remove exactly what it created.

Data we create in your store

The sample products, customers, collections, discount codes and orders the app creates are fictional. Customer records use reserved, non-deliverable example email addresses (e.g. @example.com) and never represent real people.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
• We don't read or export your store's real customers, orders or products beyond what is needed to run the app.
• We don't send marketing email to addresses created by the app.

Retention & deletion

You can delete the data a run created at any time from within the app. When you uninstall the app, or on request, we delete your store connection and associated seed-run records. Shopify's mandatory data-erasure webhooks are honoured.
